Eaten By The Heart

Artist friend, Zina Saro-Wiwa‘s installation, Eaten By The Heart explores “the mapping of emotional landscapes, its resulting performative behaviors and cross-cultural implications” for Africans. I have had the pleasure of viewing part of the full project and it is truly a brilliant and reactionary body of work that taps into emotions and intimacy in a tender and telling moment. Above is a clip from the work, which is a part of  a collaborative project called The Progress of Love, between The Menil Collection in Houston, The Pulitzer Foundation in St. Loius, and Centre for Contemporary Arts in Lagos.
