Jenni Kayne: Pre-Fall 2012

 FUR STORY

New York: Jenni Kayne’s Pre-Fall presentation included fur dressing reminiscent of Russian elegance ala “Doctor Zhivago”, yet maintained the clean lines and wearability that we’ve grown to love from her collections. A mixture of gown-like dresses and sporty schoolboy separates all came together with silks and pops of tonal plaids in suiting. Adding to the decedent fur materials, Kayne includes modern cable knits and geometric intarsia patterns in sweaters, with leather and denim in unexpected silhouettes such as a trench and shift dress. The LA based designer always knows how to create a story that feels refined yet comfortable. Hues of shiny cerulean, khaki, olive, navy and red felt like a fresh take on fall and the easy androgynous pieces were made to feel ladylike by the presence of the luxe fox fur accessories.
